Once you have downloaded Trillian, double click the file and Trillian will start to install. Read the License Agreement and either “Accept” or “Deny” it. You can select a location or just use the default and click “Go” . You will see Trillian installing the files to the location you selected and then you will be given the options “Done” or “Launch”. If you want to exit the installation without starting Trillian select “Done”. If you want to use Trillian right now, click “Launch”.
Note:When you download Trillian it will be in the form of an .EXE file. If your computer changes it to a .ZIP file, click it and then click F2 to rename it. Take off the .ZIP so that the last letters in the file name are .EXE.
When you run Trillian for the first time you will be presented with a Configuration Wizard that will walk you through setting up your accounts for AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo! Messenger, and IRC. You will also be asked to configure proxy settings, if applicable.
