 Installing Plugins
|

|
|
|
|
- Select the download that you want to install and click the "Download" link.
- Save the file to your desktop or to a folder that you can find easily.
- Double-click the file. If it does not open or gives an error message, remove the .ZIP from the end of the filename. (Some systems automatically add .ZIP). The file should end with .EXE.
- Point to the Trillian Pro installation folder.
- Click "Go" to extract the plugin to the proper location.

Loading plugins

There are two ways you can add Plugins once you have them installed.
Quick Add
- In Trillian Pro, go to Preferences->Plugins.
- Click "Quick Add". The plugins should be listed in a drop down box.
- Find the plugin you installed and click it.
- Back at the Preferences window, under "Plugins", select the plugin and configure as needed.
Manual Add
- In Trillian Pro, go to Preferences->Plugins.
- Click "Add". The plugins are listed as .dll files in the plugin folder. If you can't see plugins listed, you need to go and change the folder options to view all files.
- Find the plugin you installed and click "Open".
- Back at the Preferences window, under "Plugins", select the plugin and configure as needed.

 7.3. Stocks Plugin
|

|
|
|
|
With the Stocks Plugin you can keep an eye on all of your stocks right in your buddy list!
Once you have installed the Stocks Plugin you will want to add your stock symbols. Go to the Preferences->Plugins section and click the Stocks plugin. You will see this screen:
This is the screen where you add, remove and manage your stocks. To add a stock click the "Add" button and you will be prompted to enter your stock. The symbols for the Stocks plugin correspond to Yahoo Finance. If you want to look up your stock symbol CLICK HERE. Enter the symbol into the box and click "Ok". The stock will be added to the list and it will show up in the buddy list.
If you click the "Manage Alerts..." button you will be able to set alerts for when your stock goes above or below a predetermined level.
Note: The Stocks plugin information can be delayed by 20-30 minutes so don't sell your house, buy stocks, and use Trillian to watch your day trades.
