 7. Plugins
  Installing Plugins


  1. Select the download that you want to install and click the "Download" link.

  2. Save the file to your desktop or to a folder that you can find easily.

  3. Double-click the file. If it does not open or gives an error message, remove the .ZIP from the end of the filename. (Some systems automatically add .ZIP). The file should end with .EXE.

  4. Point to the Trillian Pro installation folder.

  5. Click "Go" to extract the plugin to the proper location.


  Loading plugins



There are two ways you can add Plugins once you have them installed.

Quick Add

  1. In Trillian Pro, go to Preferences->Plugins.

  2. Click "Quick Add". The plugins should be listed in a drop down box.

  3. Find the plugin you installed and click it.

  4. Back at the Preferences window, under "Plugins", select the plugin and configure as needed.


Manual Add

  1. In Trillian Pro, go to Preferences->Plugins.

  2. Click "Add". The plugins are listed as .dll files in the plugin folder. If you can't see plugins listed, you need to go and change the folder options to view all files.

  3. Find the plugin you installed and click "Open".

  4. Back at the Preferences window, under "Plugins", select the plugin and configure as needed.



 7.4. Minibrowser Plugin

The MiniBrowser Plugin adds a browser to Trillian. You can launch your own Trillian web browser as well as use it to view HTML based user profiles!

For the MiniBrowser to work, you need to tie it to an event. In Preferences, go to Events->Advanced and create a new event. Set up the event like this:

Enabled: Checked
Event Type: Hotkey
Hotkey: What key you want to open the minibrowser
Action Type: Program Generated
Action: MiniBrowser: Open

When you are done the event should look like this:
