 Installing Plugins
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Select the download that you want to install and click the "Download" link.
- Save the file to your desktop or to a folder that you can find easily.
- Double-click the file. If it does not open or gives an error message, remove the .ZIP from the end of the filename. (Some systems automatically add .ZIP). The file should end with .EXE.
- Point to the Trillian Pro installation folder.
- Click "Go" to extract the plugin to the proper location.

Loading plugins

There are two ways you can add Plugins once you have them installed.
Quick Add
- In Trillian Pro, go to Preferences->Plugins.
- Click "Quick Add". The plugins should be listed in a drop down box.
- Find the plugin you installed and click it.
- Back at the Preferences window, under "Plugins", select the plugin and configure as needed.
Manual Add
- In Trillian Pro, go to Preferences->Plugins.
- Click "Add". The plugins are listed as .dll files in the plugin folder. If you can't see plugins listed, you need to go and change the folder options to view all files.
- Find the plugin you installed and click "Open".
- Back at the Preferences window, under "Plugins", select the plugin and configure as needed.

 7.5. Jabber Plugin

You add the Jabber plugin the same way that you add the other plugins but Jabber is a little different in how you set the preferences. Rather than change the preferences in the Preferences section, you use the Connection Manager like you would with any other account.
Right click the Trillian icon the tray next to the clock and go to the Connection Manager. Click "Add" to add a new account. You will notice that there is a "Jabber" option in the drop down box. Click Jabber and you will see this box:
Once you have added your information for your Jabber connection, click the new Jabber connection in the Connection Manager, then click Preferences. That is where you configure the settings.
